What Is Rudrabhishek Puja?

Rudrabhishek Puja is a Vedic ritual devoted to Lord Shiva in his powerful form as Rudra. "Rudra" refers to Lord Shiva, and "Abhishek" refers to the ceremonial bathing of the Shivling. Throughout the ritual, the Shivling is bathed with sacred substances — including milk, Gangajal, honey, curd, and sugarcane juice — while Vedic hymns from the Rudram are chanted.
